Congratulations are in order for the LCH group for creating the international roof garden at Haringay School. The group, which is now an industrial and provident society, has been involved with herbal medicine in primary education for a few years now, often getting its inspiration from the children themselves. Melissa Ronaldson asked some year 4s to write some thoughts on the roof garden:

The roof garden is a place where you can make medicine. You can also plant vegetables and plants and herbs. It also gives oxygen to the world because of the trees. This is why it is a good place ''. Harry

“the roof garden is good because it is full of oxygen and is full of nature and green. It has nice plants.”
Ali and Alex

and from Deniz and Dalal:

The roof garden is important because we get to see different plants and we get to make all sorts of medicine and smells. When we are upset we go up to the roof garden. It opens our hearts in fresh colours. When your heart is broken it refreshes your heart…”
